   The Letter From Home

   Calum opens his mail in his New York apartment. A single envelope. His father's handwriting. 'Come home. The pack needs you.'

   Cliffhanger

   He hasn't transformed in twelve years. He doesn't know if he still can.

   The Glen

   Calum arrives at the family estate in the Highlands. The pack greets him cold. His sister punches him in the jaw before saying hello.

   She says: 'You left us with him for twelve years. You don't get a soft homecoming.'

   His Father's Bedside

   The old alpha is dying. He gives Calum the clan amulet and says one word: 'McCardle.' Then he passes.

   Cliffhanger

   McCardle is the family that murdered Calum's mother. They are sending a delegate at sundown.

   The McCardle Delegation

   A rival clan delegate arrives. She is the daughter of the woman who killed Calum's mother. She is sorry — and the only one who knows the full story.

   Cliffhanger

   She says: 'Your mother and my mother were running away together. Both clans wanted them stopped. Both clans killed them. Your father was at the front.'

   The Journal

   Calum finds his mother's journal in the attic. She had planned to leave. She had written him a goodbye letter she never sent.

   Cliffhanger

   The letter ends: 'I should have taken you with me. Forgive me. Or don't. But love who you choose.'

   The Pack Council

   The pack convenes. Calum is expected to challenge the McCardles to a feud. He declines. The pack erupts.

   His sister steps forward. 'Then I challenge YOU for the alpha-ship.'

   Sister Against Brother

   Brother and sister fight at the loch. She is faster. He is older. Neither wants the killing blow.

   Calum bares his throat. 'You take the pack. I take the truth.'

   The New Pack

   Calum's sister becomes alpha. Calum walks out of the glen with the McCardle delegate. The two families end the feud by marrying it.

   His sister watches them leave from the keep and finally raises her wedding mother's amulet — not in war.
