   The Reactor Coughs

   Chief engineer Atlas runs another diagnostic. The fusion reactor's coolant has been thinning for six weeks. The settlement has six months.

   Cliffhanger

   The diagnostic confirms what he's been hiding: the failure isn't mechanical. Someone is sabotaging it.

   Earth Goes Silent

   Day 90 of no reply from Earth. The colony council debates whether Earth has gone silent — or whether the colony has gone alone.

   A young engineer raises her hand: 'Maybe the signal is being blocked from this side.'

   The First Child

   The first Mars-born child turns five. He's never seen a blue sky. He draws his birthday cake under a red one.

   The Saboteur Found

   Hacker-engineer Yuna traces the reactor sabotage to a council member. They are still smiling at every meeting.

   The Lost Lander

   Pilot Bjorn flies the long-range rover to the abandoned Colony 22 — fifty kilometres east. It's empty. The lights are still on.

   There's fresh coffee on the table. The mug is still warm.

   The Real Reason

   Atlas confronts the council member. She tells him the truth: the colony was never meant to make it. They were the trial.

   The full colony gathers. Atlas tells them everything. The doctor proposes they fix the reactor anyway and lie to Earth about the result.
